Barbol Pipe

The Caño del Barbol is a 22 kilometres piping built in the early 1950s to irrígate Librilla fields. At the end of April 1980, the population started to irrígate with Trasvase Tajo- Segura water but until then, the Caño del Barbol was one of the main water sources together with the spring waters in the village. In Fuente Librilla not everybody can irrigate with the Caño, only landowners who gave their property for this piping.

The water flow is 125 litres per second.
