Mula preserves a rich archaeological heritage, vestiges of our past coming from some of the most important archaeological site of the peninsular southeast and that documents the uninterrupted occupation of this territory for more than 40,000 years. All of them are located near the river Mula, an important natural communication route since prehistory, source of water resources and the backbone of settlement. Prehistoric sites, settlements of argaric culture, from the Iberian period stands out The Cigarralejo, Romans and Muslims.
